R200 000 on offer for information on this murder

POLOKWANE – The police have offered a R200 000 reward to anyone with information that may lead to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the murder of Mapula Margaret Malatji (62) from Seshego.

Malatji was murdered in January.

“She left her home on 29 January to collect her ID from the department of home affairs, but she never returned home,” said provincial police spokesperson, Col Ronel Otto.

“Her body was found at the Seshego Dam the next day by passers-by.”

Otto said Malatji’s body had been cut into two and several body parts were removed.

“Anyone with information is requested to contact Lt Col Ramogobedi at 082 499 8389 or Const Gafane at 082 759 4905. All information will be handled confidentially,” she said.
