Police search continues for body of young girl

LIMPOPO – The Search and Rescue unit are still searching for the body of one of the two girls who drowned in the Tubaste River near Burgersfort on Friday afternoon.

The two girls aged 14 were swept away by the current while attempting to cross the river said provincial police spokesperson, Col Ronel Otto on Saturday.

“Members of the Search and Rescue unit recovered the body of one of the girls this afternoon. The unit is still on the scene and the search for the other body continues.”
