I need a white coach now – Thidiela

Black Leopards boss, David Thidiela says he is tired of losing games unnecessarily and his remedy is to get a white-coach.

LIMPOPO – Black Leopards boss, David Thidiela says he is tired of unnecessarily losing games and his remedy is to get a white coach.

Thidiela spoke these words while addressing fans at the Thohoyandou stadium after the team’s 1- 0 loss to Highlands Parks FC on Wednesday.

He disclosed that coach, Major David Bright, had tendered his resignation, and that he would not rest before he got a white coach.

“Give me only one week, on Friday, I will be announcing a big white coach to rescue the team. Our mission to return to the PSL is still unshaken. I haven’t given-up, we are going back to the PSL. Please don’t fight or threaten the referee because we can’t afford to pay fines. Let’s support the team and avoid insinuating fights,” he said.

“The caretaker coach, Joel Masutha did his best to win the Highlands Park game, but the boys did the opposite. Masutha learnt a lot from the previous coach, Kostadin Papic. I was there when he was telling our boys to play total football and avoid aerial balls, but our boys don’t play according to his instructions,” he said.

Asked if he would allow a Sangoma to chase the bad spirit that tied the players’ legs, Thidiela said there was no muthi that could win a match.

“My medicine will be to get a white man as the coach,” said Thidiela.

Speculations are linking former Polokwane City FC coach, Kostadin Papic with Lidoda Duvha.

Bright confirmed that he tendered his resignation letter on Wednesday.

“Basically I resigned last week and I was just waiting for the team chairperson, Thidiela to clear up the issue of salary before making it official. I’m going back home to refresh a little bit. I can’t talk about my experience in Black Leopards because I’m no longer in their family,” said Bright.
