LIMPOPO – THE Murumba Pitch is a group of musicians who have a different take on music.

Discovered by Tshifhiwa ‘Chifo Charge’ Ramulondi and led by Emmanuel Mathye, the group is made up of lead guitarist, Phindulo Nedohe, bass guitarist, Timothy Lindani Ratshitanga and DJ Lufuno ‘Gene Crossta’ Nevhudogwa. They fuse house music with musical instruments.

Mathye says they want to promote a new version of house music.

“We want to build an empire that will be known all over the country. We want youngsters to look up to us. Our vision is to be an international group,” says Mathye.

He says the group started small and not many people knew about them.

“A lot of people came and left, not everybody believed in us. Some underestimated our capabilities, but we didn’t give up on ourselves, which is the reason we are here today.

“Not much can be said for now, but rest assured that we are going places. We wouldn’t have made it this far if it wasn’t for the fans and we don’t know how we could ever thank them for being so amazing.

“We want them to know that they are highly appreciated,” he says.

He further says the group has had a many performances.

They are now working on their production to remix and produce their own tracks.

“We were inspired by Black Motion, Micasa, Muzart and The Muffinz. We want to expand ourselves into various related platforms like theatre, working with international stars.”

Mathye advises other young people to follow their dreams.

“Never give up even if it’s difficult or hard.

“Failing is not an option, it begins with believing in yourself, stop at nothing to get what you want.

“Once you’ve set your mind to something, there’s absolutely no way you’re not going to achieve what you aim to achieve.”
