Limpopo man still sought after beating children to death with knobkerrie

Police are still searching for the 45-year-old man who fled after allegedly beating to death his two children on Wednesday evening in Makonde Village near Thohoyandou.

LIMPOPO – Police are still searching for the Prince Vele Budeli  (45) who fled after allegedly beating to death his two children on Wednesday evening in Makonde Village near Thohoyandou.

“It is alleged that after and argument between the man and his 33-year-old wife, she fled from the house. The man took a knobkerrie and beat his daughter Justic Thinawanga (2) and son, Munyai Thinawanga (6) so severely that they were declared dead on the scene,” said provincial spokesperson, Col Ronel Otto.

The wife is safe with family members says Otto.

Police have urged anyone with information to contact crime line at 08600 10111 or the nearest police station.
