LIMPOPO – GOSPEL singer, Rosyline Sathekge from Moletjie recently released her fifth album, Bophelo Baka.
The 14-track album includes tracks such as Senze Baba, Eloi Baba, Bophelo Baka and Ya Itshepelang.
“I sing traditional gospel music at its best, my previous albums were all about entertaining fans, but this one is different, it delivers a message about the dangers of crime and other social illnesses. I sing in Setswana, English and Sepedi,” said Rosyline.
She said her previous albums did well because she did the marketing of the albums herself, performing at taxi ranks and community events.
“I chose gospel because it keeps people going when they face difficulties. My mom passed away in 1995 after a short illness and this left a big gap in my life. She was my inspiration,” she said.
Rosyline has shared the stage with the likes of Solly Mahlangu, Winnie Mashaba, Khaya Mthwetwa, Sfiso, and Hlengiwe Mhlaba.
