Roggert Nyundu caught up in tug of war between soccer teams
POLOKWANE City FC boss, Johnny Mogaladi has dismissed Black Leopards' claim that they signed a three-year contract with Roggert Nyundu last week.
POLOKWANE – POLOKWANE City FC boss, Johnny Mogaladi has dismissed Black Leopards’ claim that they signed a three-year contract with Roggert Nyundu last week.
Addressing the media during the unveiling of three new signees on Friday, Mogaladi said there was no team that could sign a contract with the attacking-midfielder without City FC’s permission.
“Leopards’ boss knows that he came to me himself looking for help and asked me to give them Nyundu on a loan agreement until the end of the season. We have his return clearance. Nyundu must be here on July 1. I don’t want to reveal the terms of his contract with us, but he will play for City FC. We are building the team and in two years time, you will see Rise and Shine collect trophies in the Premier Soccer League (PSL). Don’t count on us going to relegation. When we unveil our new jersey, we will also unveil a player who is still a secret,” said Mogaladi.
Lidoda Duvha’s spokesperson, Barry Ramunenyiwa last week announced that they had signed a three-year contract with Nyundu. He said they wanted to see the team return to the PSL.
Nyundu (27) who joined Leopards in January from City FC on a loan-deal scored 13 goals that helped Lidoda Duvha qualify to play in the promotional play-offs.
The star is still mum as the tug of war continues between the two teams.
