Still no bail for sham prophet

THE Seshego magistrate's court was packed to capacity last Friday when bogus prophet Motlatsi Korolozi (33) appeared in connection with a series of rapes.

SESHEGO – THE Seshego magistrate’s court was packed to capacity last Friday when bogus prophet Motlatsi Korolozi (33) appeared in connection with a series of rapes.

Among those who were in the court gallery was a 27-year-old rape survivor (27), told CV on condition of anonymity that the sham prophet had raped her younger sister, who was a minor.

Scores of women – young and old – crammed the courtroom to hear Korolisi answering for his alleged sexual crimes.

There were also members of the Zion Christian Church present as Korolosi claimed to be a cleric of this church.

During his brief appearance, he remained calm. He was wearing a Ferrari sweater, fawn trouser and brown loafers.

Korolosi has now pleaded guilty to raping the women after he first denied that he had sexually molested them.

He was denied bail for the fourth time and is expected to return to court on May 18.

Korolosi allegedly deceived desperate women that he would cure them of bad luck if they slept with him.

His reign of terror ended when he allegedly raped three family members: a mother and her two daughters from Makgofe village. They spoke out against what he had allegedly done, and other women also came forward saying he had done the same to them.

In Seshego zone 3 his alleged attempt to rape another woman failed but he allegedly managed to sexually abuse her younger sister who was a virgin at the time.

Investigating officer, Lt Maserole Pheme from the Seshego police said he had completed his investigations and was still waiting for the DNA results to confirm the rape incidents.
