Strikers to Baroka FC

THE January transfer window could not have come at a better time for Peace United's duo, Paul Mamabolo and Victor Letsoalo.

THE January transfer window could not have come at a better time for Peace United’s duo, Paul Mamabolo and Victor Letsoalo, who signed their first professional contracts with National First Division club, Baroka FC.

In an interview with CV, the head coach of Peace United, Paen Nkhwashu, confirmed that the duo signed deals with Baroka FC. “Our aim is to develop talent and produce good players. Seeing some of our players joining professional clubs tells us that we are on the right track.

We are in second position on the regional log and we want to win a promotion to the SAFA Second Division, but not even promotion to a higher division would convince us to stand in the way of our players,” explained Nkhwashu.

United trail log leaders, Molemole Academy, with just two points after four games but Nkhwashu is confident that the club will cope without Mamabolo and Letsoalo.

“All in all we have eight players who left the team this January.

“Six other players joined institutions of higher learning in Gauteng.

“This puts our dream of gaining promotion in jeopardy, but we will reinforce the squad and do everything in our power to secure the promotion,” Nkhwashu said.
