THE Ratshiakakala familiy in Ha-Mangilasi is a new member richer.

This after the eldest son, Hangwelani Ratshikakala, tied the knot with his long time sweetheart, Tshepiso Lebogo on Saturday.

Wedding festivities started on Friday in Botswana, where the Ratshikakalas paid lobola before heading to Ha-Mangilasi village for a traditional ceremony, which was attended by business owners, colleagues and family members.

Ratshikakala told well wishers that his wedding should be seen as an example of the saying that behind every successful man stands a wonderful woman.

He urged people to respect women and children, especially during the 16 Days of Activism For No Violence Against Women and Children campaign.

The wedding was hailed as one of the first in the village to have a Tshikona (traditional dance) performance.
