Nkepile wants to share a message of hope with the world

The talented singer from Seshego has been granted the opportunity to attend the International Modelling and Talent Association (IMTA) convention in New York but is in need of R68 000 to make her dream a reality

POLOKWANE – Nkepile Marole, a talented singer from Seshego, needs assistance to make her dreams of becoming an international performer come true.

“I grew up with a love for performing arts and being on a stage to showcase my gift of singing, acting and dancing. Apart from singing, I find pleasure in stage productions, writing songs and poetry, as well as performing at various events,” she said.

She has been granted the opportunity of a lifetime to attend the International Modelling and Talent Association (IMTA) convention in New York, in July. She auditioned and was selected by the IMTA talent scouts to represent South Africa. IMTA is a professional association of the finest modelling and talent training centres in the world and attending the conference would be a dream come true for Nkepile.

She is in need of R68 000 to make her dream a reality, this would cover travel, accommodation, meals and pocket money but excludes the amount for plane tickets.

Her journey began back in primary school at Pietersburg Comprehensive School where she was a lead singer for the school’s cultural group and a member of the choir. She moved on to HoĆ«rskool Noorderland where she was also part of their choir. She then joined a contemporary Gospel group, Spax and New Light, which recorded an album that featured Khaya Mthethwa, among other Gospel artists, while she furthered her studies in Pretoria.

“Music has always been part of my life and one of my greatest priorities. My heart’s desire in this regard has always been to share a message of hope with the world; to show one that life is full of possibilities that are forever waiting for one to grab. To spread love and healing through the language of music and performing arts and help one to break free from conformity and fear of unleashing the greatness they possess,” she said.

Seeing her dreams realised would not only mean she puts the country, province and her hometown of Seshego on the map. It is also a breakout for her to finally break out as an individual performer. She has always performed in groups but now she has the opportunity to be a solo star.

“My motto is trust the process, keep believing and never opt to give up,” she concluded.
