Cheers to the new king and queen

There were tears of joy and excitement when Mr and Miss Tshikhafoma were crowned at George Muri Lodge in Tshikombani on 28 December.

LIMPOPO – The winners were Phindulo Tonny Khedzi (king), Mulisa Mukhavhuli (first prince), and Thatoo Lebonye (second prince).

Miss Funi’s winners were Ndaedzo Matodzi (queen), Ambani Budeli (first princess), Thovhedzo Netshimbolimbo (second princess), Rofhiwa Matamela (Miss Popularity), Zinzi Rabada (Miss Enterprise), Fulufhedzani Tshisevhe (Miss Personality), and Amphulusaho Mushadu (best philanthropist).

In the junior category, Tondani Murangi was crowned the queen while Lutendo Ndou took the honours as junior princess.

Speaking to CV, the queen, Ndaedzo Matodzi said she was elated.

“I feel so happy and blessed because this was my first time winning such a big title after trying so many times without success.”

The 19-year-old said she is passionate about modelling and wants to use her title to help those who are less fortunate.

“Modeling gives me the opportunity to express my feelings and to believe in myself. As someone who wishes to become a medical doctor in future, I believe that modelling will help me to create platforms to help people who are suffering from diseases”.

The founder of the pageant, Pfano Witty Mbodi, said they aim to unearth talent.

“Our purpose is to unleash hidden talents among our youths through our charity programmes. We also visit schools and churches, teaching youths how to become entrepreneurs since jobs are scarce.”
