Baroka a sinking ship?

Listen to the reactions from the coaches of both Baroka FC and Bidvest Wits FC

LIMPOPO – The ship of Baroka FC continues to sink after their recent 1-0 loss to Bidvest Wits FC. They played at the Peter Mokaba Sports Complex on Saturday and this loss puts Bakgakga level on points with the bottom two teams. Wits played with a 3-4-3 formation to attack with three strikers, while Bakgakga played a 4-4-2 formation.

Baroka dominated the first half and created more chances but failed to convert it into goals. Wits bounced back in the second half and created chance after chance. They managed to score via Deon Kavendji in the 47th minute to claim maximum points. Bakgakga were reduced to 10 men when Richard Mbulu was sent off, four minutes into stoppage time in the second half. Their fate was sealed.

Baroka now prepare to take on Bloemfontein Celtic FC on 1 March in Bloemfontein, while Wits will play against Highlands Park. Baroka head coach, Dylan Kerr said the team defended well for 90 minutes.

Wits head coach, Gavin Hunt said any win is a big win in the PSL especially after losing last week. “We created very good opportunities and enjoyed the game. I do not sign players to sit on bench, they all have to play. I will try to win two or three games in a row from now on, to maintain the standard of Wits,” said Hunt.
