The UEFA Euro 2020 is the biggest football event taking place this year. The championship is being played in 12 cities around Europe, so there will not be a host nation. This edition marks the 60th anniversary of the tournament. The tournament will take the same format as the 2016 Euro and will include 24 countries. There are six groups, with four teams in a group. The Euro 2020 officially kicks off on the 12th of June with the opening match between Italy and Turkey in Rome. Most of the important matches will be played at Wembley Stadium in London. The final and both of the semi-finals will be played at Wembley, with the final match taking place on July 12.
Golf enthusiasts will be happy to know that there are five big golfing tournaments coming up in 2020. The Masters is the first major golf event and takes place in Augusta in April. The US PGA is the next golfing event and takes place in California in May. The US Open is taking place at the Winged Foot Golf Club in June, followed by the British Open in July. The last major golf event for 2020 will be the Ryder Cup, which takes place in September.
