POLOKWANE – Gender-roles have changed drastically and since we are in the month of love, Review spoke to six women to find out if they would ever ask out /propose marriage to their partners.
Ndzhaka Siwela – “I wouldn’t do it but I understand why women do it. It is not so bad, it’s all a personal decision and therefore, who are we to judge?”

Pearl Ramotsidisi – “I don’t see anything wrong with it. If a woman feels she can take that role and lead the relationship to the next level, then good for her. We are all about women empowerment after all.”
Success Mabunda – “Hell would freeze over before I do that. I couldn’t muster up the courage to do it even if I had to.”
Khetiwe Masemola – “I would definitely do it. I don’t think it’s a big deal anymore so I wouldn’t mind it. Sometimes if you don’t act, you’ll never get what you want.”
Ntwanano Siwela – “It is an abomination for a woman to take the lead and ask a man to marry her. I feel like it changes the whole dynamic of the relationship. I mean after that, will you also pay for lobola?”
