Raycosta’s fiery passion for soulful house moves fans

Raycosta hails from Seshego and ventured into the music industry in 2003

POLOKWANE – Anyone who has listened to Raycosta’s latest extended play (EP), Costa Nation Volume 1, can attest to the uncontrollable need to move to its stimulating groove.

The kwaito star, whose real name is Nakedi Boshomane, is known for his cool disposition and fiery passion for soulful house, people and crafting the right beats to keep his audience dancing.

The EP has been released under Costa Nation Records and has seven tracks which include Suka, Ama 2000, Piano piano, Manyonyoba, In love and Feelings.

Raycosta hails from Seshego zone 6 and ventured into the music industry in 2003. He was influenced by his brother, Edward, to follow his dream of becoming an artist and founded the Kwaito group, G-Squad.

“I discovered my passion for music in 2001, at the age of 13 and took it to a professional level in 2010. Being a musician is very special to me as it empowers and develops me as a person and teaches me about life. I am grateful to God for honouring me with this talent. Costa Nation Volume 1 is dedicated to my fans and incorporates amapiano sounds to the old school sound my fans are accustomed to.”

Raycosta says he wants to bring something new to the industry and says his EP took a month to produce.

“We worked day- by-day to make sure that all the songs are purely mastered.”.
