When the weather report gets it wrong…

Roads turn into rivers thanks to an outpour of rain.

POLOKWANE – A weather forecast is a prediction of what temperatures and weather conditions one can expect throughout the day. More often than not, these forecasts turn out to be far different from what actually materialises.

Take today, 14 January as an example. The South African Weather Service only predicted an amount of 5mm of rain but then, roads turned into rivers.

Many people had a look at the forecast last night and decided to leave their umbrellas at home, but then the heavens opened up – turning that quick-trip to get something out of your car into a soaking-wet walk of misery.
