Cable theft leaves Broadlands Estate and surrounding farms without power

POLOKWANE – Broadlands Esate and surrounding farms are without power supply due to cable theft incident at the Palm Substation.

According to a notification issued by Eskom’s Limpopo Operating Unit the unplanned outage comes after the substation was broken into and cables were stolen.

Spokesperson for Eskom, Dikgabane Rampedi said that their technical support team is working on the supply restoration. No estimated restoration time has been given.

Customers in the affected areas are warned to treat all electrical installations as live during this period to avoid injury and damage.
