Patience leads to profits for Lee-Anne

I was patient enough to practice until I got it right, until I made the perfect product, says Lee-Anne Peyper, proud owner of The Fizzy Soapsuds

POLOKWANE – Homemade bath-bomb maker, Lee-Anne Peyper (47) is the proud owner of The Fizzy Soapsuds, a business which was started seven years ago by her and a friend. Bath-bombs are hard-packed mixtures of dry ingredients which foams when wet and are used to add essential oils, scent, bubbles or colour to bathwater. “Bath-bombs give you that extra luxurious relaxation while one enjoys a bath, which feels and looks fresh,” Lee-Anne said.

She added that bath-bombs are good to use and their colours give a ‘galaxy’ feel to it with the mixed glitters, which leave the skin feeling soft and gives off a refreshing and tingly feeling.

Lee-Anne has always been business minded and took inspiration from Pinterest and YouTube for her products. “I tried and tested, tried and tested until I got it right. It took me a long time but like they always say, patience is key. I was patient enough to practice until I got it right, until I made the perfect product. When The Fizzy Soapsuds started, we only produced a small amount of soaps and bath-bombs. I then branched out to make customised bath-bombs (large, small and assorted packs) as well as salts, bubble baths and kiddies gifts,” she said.

Lee-Anne added that the name of the business derived from the fizzing action of a bath-bomb, combined with the soapsuds left behind after one has used a bar of soap. She makes about 100 bath-bombs in a day.

“I have also started to make shaped bath-bomb macaroons as well as floral shaped bombs. What is great about this venture is that I can customise the bath-bomb with fragrance and colour according to the customer’s choice, so that you can get exactly what you want. Your money will therefore be spent on a really good and worthy product,” she concluded.
