ANC in Limpopo mourns death of councillor
The ANC in the Peter Mokaba region send their condolences to the family and friends of Steve Monampane Mashabela.
POLOKWANE – The ANC in the Peter Mokaba region send their condolences to the family and friends of Steve Monampane Mashabela.
Mashabela passed away at the age of 45 on Tuesday, 12 November after a short illness. Mashabela was a ward 14 councillor as well as a member of the ANC Peter Mokaba Region Executive Committee. In a statement released by the ANC in the Peter Mokaba region, Mashabela was lauded for touching many hearts in the region.

The chairperson of the ANC in the Peter Mokaba region, John Mpe said the death of Mashabela has robbed the province of “a great son”. “He will be remembered for his love for the people he served,” Mpe said.
The Polokwane Municipality said in a statement that Mashabela served his duties as ward 14 councillor and as chairperson of the energy portfolio committee with “vigour and aplomb”.
The statement added that Mashabela’s fight was to develop and serve his community with dedication. They send their condolences to his family and loved ones and added that he, “will remain embedded in our hearts”.
Funeral arrangements have not been made known yet.
