Mild temperatures to bring relief to Polokwane this week

Cloudy to partly cloudy conditions are expected in the city this week with the SA Weather Service forecasting thundershowers on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday.

POLOKWANE – After a gruelling week of persistently hot temperatures and heatwave conditions, temperatures are expected to cool down in Polokwane, bringing much relief to residents.

Monday will be the last day of the heatwave with temperatures peaking at 36 degrees and a 30% chance of thundershowers. Cloudy to partly cloudy conditions will remain for the rest of the week with temperatures ranging for low to high twenties.

Friday will cool down to just 22 degrees and Monday will peak at 36 degrees. The South African Weather Service has forecast showers and thundershowers for Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday with just 3mm of rain expected.

People’s Weather’s Forcast predicts a similar outcome with mild to warm temperatures expected as well as partly cloudy conditions expected for the rest of the week.

Temperatures will peak at 35 degrees on Monday and ‘cool’ down to 24 degrees on Thursday and Friday. Their forecast, however, does not predict any rain.
