Thavhani Mall Bus Rank opened

Things are set to improve in Thohoyandou, after the modern R6 million Thavhani Mall Bus Rank, situated on the lower level parking opposite Thohoyandou Stadium, was officially opened.

LIMPOPO – With the opening of Thavhani Mall in Thohoyandou a few years ago, a large number of commuters increasingly started to complain about a lack of transport.

Things are set to improve, after the modern R6 million Thavhani Mall Bus Rank, situated on the lower level parking opposite Thohoyandou Stadium, was officially opened.

Maria Mulaudzi, the Chairperson of Vhembe Bus Operators said they are thankful for the new rank.

According to Mulaudzi, commuters will now be able to travel to and from the Thavhani Mall easily and safely.

With crime increasing in the area, Mulaudzi said they would request the Thohoyandou Police Station to erect a satellite station at the rank, with officers to patrol regularly.

A councillor, Tshimangadzo Malada of the Thulamela Local Municipality in Thohoyandou congratulated the management of Thavhani Mall for taking the lead in making life easier for commuters.

He said the rank was opened at a time that the municipality was planning its City 2030 project.

The Director of Thavhani Mall, Thovhele Nkhaneni Ramovha urged commuters to look after the rank which was built to cater for their needs.

One of the commuters who attended the official opening, Christina Netselo was over the moon to find out that they would be able to travel to and from the Thavhani Mall easier and safer.
