Repairs on burst pipe at Olifantspoort to take 8 hours, says LNW

The Polokwane Municipality is urging residents who are receiving water to use it sparingly.

POLOKWANE – Lepelle Northern Water (LNW) says they have stopped the Olifanstpoort Plant due to a specon pipeline burst.

Water shortages are expected as a result and LNW says repairs are expected to take around eight hours to complete.

Spokesperson for the Municipality, Thipa Selala says water supply to all affected areas will be restored once LNW has fixed the pipeline.

“The municipality will provide regular updates in terms of progress around the issue. Residents receiving water are urged to use it sparingly,” his statement concluded.
