The purpose of the tournament was to select national teams which will take part in the global school’s tournament which is set to take place between 8 and 13 November at Yale University in the United States of America.

Three learners from Taxila, Naledi Sebati, Reneilwe Seroka and Neo Mogoale have been selected to take part in the global conference.

Nurse Monyepadi, debate coach, says the school is proud of their learners and their achievement which will put the school on the map. She, however, says there is a challenge of funding. “The trip is not fully funded and some of these learners cannot afford to travel to the USA.”

Monyepadi pleads with any member of the public to donate money to the learners so that they can be able to compete for the global title. “These learners are good at what they do, it would be a shame if they did not get a chance to compete.”
