Celebrating woman as caregivers and helpers during Women’s Month

As part of celebrating the role played by caregivers, a group of women from in and around Polokwane hosted Nannies Appreciation Day in Women's Month.

POLOKWANE – The fundraising event, organized by Phuti Maremane was held at the Regiment Christian Beyers (SANDF Lapa) and was attended by women from all walks of life.

The dress code for the day was ‘Nannies Uniform’.

Paulina Debeila with Zenzile Mashele are part of the celebration of women who take care of others over the past weekend.

“We decided to come together as women and show appreciation to these special women in our lives. We are here to show them that the role they play in our families is recognised and appreciated. It is quite fitting to host this event during the Women’s Month, ” Maremane said.

She went on to say the event was organised after realising that people tend to forget to show their appreciation to their helpers, the people which play a very big role in society.

The money raised through the event will be used to buy sanitary towels for young women in Ga Matlala in an effort to bring back their dignity, she said.

See further thanked Chavel Trading who donated 150 packets of sanitary towels, Medizone who pledged several boxes of sanitary towels and everyone else who contributed towards the success of the event.

Khomotjo Ramara the founder of Breaking Boundaries ( women’s health hub, Mamoruti Fheresani, and Paulina Debeila take a minute from all the celebrations to pose for some photos.
