First Miss Super Shine crowned

Five girls proved to the Lufule community that they are indeed beautiful, when they were crowned winners in the Miss Super Shine 2019 pageant.

LIMPOPO – The first ever Miss Super Shine beauty pageant was held at AFM Church in Lufule 2 a fortnight ago and scores of young people came to watch the event.

Vhanzhi Ramukumba was crowned Miss Super Shine 2019/20, Munaka Tshovhota was first princess, Khanyisile Nenzhelele the second princess, Rudzani Phale as Miss Personality and Murunwa Murunwa was selected as Miss Public Choice. All of them received cash prizes, sashes, crowns and goodie bags.

The queen, Vhanzhi Ramukumba said that she feels grateful to have won the competition and indicated that it will boost her self-confidence. “It is an absolute pleasure to walk away with the first prize. I encourage others not to be scared to show-off your own talents and abilities,” she motivated other aspiring models.

She also encouraged other young people to keep themselves busy by participating in beauty pageants. The event was organised by Rose Ramuedi, Elelwani Bologo and Portia Ramasimu.

One of the event organiser’s, Rose Ramuedi, said they wanted to encourage aspiring models to participate in beauty pageants and refrain from alcohol and drug abuse. “We are pleased to have created something for the communities to engage themselves in,” Ramuedi said.

She told the contestants that they must be confidant and always believe in themselves. “We want young models to be committed and dedicated and not to give up on their dreams, no matter what obstacles they may face along their journey to realising their dreams. Dreams do come true, if you believe on yourself,” she said.
