T Man Gavini makes a comeback with new album

LIMPOPO – When kwaito hip-hop artist, Thivhulawi Ndou was not heard from nor seen, many people thought they would never hear his voice sing again. Better known as T Man Gavini, he was last heard from in 2016 after he released his album Mmbwa ya la inwe a i noni, which featured the hit song Hoyu nwana ndi a mufuna, kha mpfare nga tshanda. Little did they know that he was busy preparing a new album which launched in April. His latest album, Ri khou funana (We are in love), features eight tracks such as Li tshani u ambesa, Pfarelo, Mudzimu Nthuse, Hu khou difha and Ndi nga mula.

The 32-year-old was born and raised in Lufule 2 village and now stays in Tshiulungoma 2, Thukutha village outside Thohoyandou. He was inspired by listening to the music of Muzambiya who stayed in Soweto, where he also used to stay. Ri khou funana is his fourth album and his first album was called Thina tshifhinga tsha u tshina.

“With the song Li tshani u ambesa, I wanted to tell the people to stop gossiping and spreading false information. With Ri khou funana, I share with the people that I was in love with my girlfriend and in the song, Mudzimu nthuse, I prayed to God so that I could release new songs again,” said T Man Gavin.

T Man Gavini added that his latest album was recorded at Masana Records which is based in Soweto and was produced by DJ Davic. For bookings and live performances, contact him at 071 423 3183.
