Mokopane protests enter day 2
According to Motsobane Masenya, the Chairperson of MTT, President, Cyril Ramaphosa will address an expected 9 000-strong crowd on Friday, 16 August between 10:00 and 11:00.
MOKPANE – Despite tear gas and rubber bullets being used to disperse the crowd in Mokopane yesterday, members of the Mogalakwena Task Team (MTT), South African National Civic Organisation (Sanco) and Mokopane Concerned and Affected Citizens (MCAC) this morning gathered at the bus rank in Rabe Street, ready to protest again.

Motsobane Masenya, the Chairperson of MTT confirmed to Bosveld that the march will start at 10:00 and the crowd will once again march to the Mogalakwena Municipality.
The shutdown is a result of the previous protests which brought town to a standstill on 1 and 2 August after the killings of two ANC councillors, Vaaltyn Kekana and Ralph Kanyane.

The Facebook page, Traffic Policing Affairs Limpopo, has warned motorists not to use the R101 when entering Mokopane but to rather remain on the N1.
Masenya confirmed to Bosveld that a meeting between ANC members and the President, Cyril Ramaphosa, is to take place this afternoon.
According to Masenya, Ramaphosa will address an expected 9 000-strong crowd on Friday, 16 August between 10:00 and 11:00.
