Lower taxi fares for commuters from Mankweng
This change came into effect on Monday, 16 July, and covers all Mankweng taxi routes going into Polokwane as well as those going from Polokwane to Mankweng.
POLOKWANE – The Mankweng Taxi Association has given commuters who travel from Mankweng to Polokwane between 04:00 and 08:00 some room to breathe by reducing taxi prices by R3.
This change came into effect on Monday, 16 July, and covers all Mankweng taxi routes going into Polokwane as well as those going from Polokwane to Mankweng. Charges for local routes will remain the same.

The association has however taken into consideration learners within the Mankweng area, who travel locally to school, and they pay a flat rate of R10 regardless of where they are travelling from.
New rates:
Nobody: R20 to R17.
Turfloop: R21 to R18.
Ga Kama: R23 to R20.
Kenneth Masilo Mokgobi, Marketing Manager for the Mankweng Taxi Association said they had to devise a plan to bring in customers for the taxis in the mornings.
