[LISTEN] Friends, colleagues sing JP Ephraim Makgoba’s praises at unveiling of bronze bust in city
A bronze bust of Judge Ephraim Makgoba was unveiled in the city during a special ceremony last week.
POLOKWANE – Joined by friends and family, Makgoba was present at the occasion, which served to celebrate his accomplishments during his years in the service of different law agencies and as the first Limpopo Judge President. The statue will be a reminder to future law practitioners that the difference they make is not going unnoticed.
The High Court of South Africa, Limpopo Division invited guests to the unveiling ceremony which was held at the Polokwane High Court on Thursday.
The ceremony started with the unveiling, after which the function took on a slightly more informal tone where several guests had the opportunity to sing Makgoba’s praises. These included William Seriti, Supreme Court of Appeal Judge, Dunstan Mlambo, Adv Hlalele Molotsi from the Pretoria Bar Council, Adv William Mokhari and the MEC for Transport and Community Safety, Dickson Masemola.
