“The victim phoned Const Prince Baloyi, the search team were then able to track her.
“I want to commend the ground team consisting of Serg Phillip Mokebe, Const Lucky Masenya, Const Prince Baloyi of the Mahwelereng Detectives, JC Alderson, technician at Suricat Security, Jan van Rooyen and Nico de Lange, reaction officers at SOS and myself who worked consistently without any rest to find her.”
Badenhorst said that his thanks goes out to the support team behind the scene who also worked hard to get information through to the ground team, Tania Rabie, CPG Security Operations in Edenvale, East Rand, Willie Smit, Ofcolaco CPF, Tzaneen, Jaco van Staden, Marblehall, SAPS Limpopo Operators, Col Pottie Potgieter, Provincial Police, Adriaan Stadler from Cobra 24/7 Security Investigations, Magda Oberholzer, President of 24/7 Support and Emergency Group, Albertus Geyer’s tracking team.
Baloyi said more information cannot be given at this time, except that two suspects were arrested and the case is ongoing.
“The police are asking children who run away from home to not provide false information to the police.
