POLOKWANE – Residents and businesses have been notified by the municipality that load shedding will be implemented today.
This is due to faulty transformers at the Epsilon Substation and will be in the form of two-hour intervals until the matter is resolved, says municipal spokesperson, Thipa Selela.

He added that all affected areas are reminded to treat all electrical sockets and appliances as live and dangerous during this process.

Affected areas include parts of the city, Superbia, Nirvana, Westenburg and surrounding areas with intervals as follows:
• 12h00 – 14h00: Superbia and Nirvana
• 14h00 – 16h00: CBD in the Schoeman Street area
• 16h00 – 18h00: Downtown
“Load shedding will be implemented tomorrow from 08h00, in Superbia, provided the transformers are not ready to distribute electricity,” Selela said.
He added that all affected areas are reminded to treat all electrical sockets and appliances as live and dangerous during this process.
