Les Papo dedicates a song to all the curvy women of Polokwane

Local artist Lesetja Cyril Papo (38), released his single 'Sdudla' on Valentine's Day.

POLOKWANE – This song is a special tribute to all the curvy women in Polokwane. “I want them to know that they are beautiful, loved and appreciated,” Lesetja says.

Lesetja has been writing songs and performing since 1995 and has released over 10 singles. He tells Review that his music talent and career was influenced by music legends Mdu, Arthur Mafokate, Mapaputsi, TKZee, the late Mandoza, Zola, Guffy, etc.
Originally from Doornspruit in Ga-Mashashane, Lesetja attended primary school at Doornspruit Primary School, and Paxana Primary. He then attended and successfully completed his matric at Pax High School in 2000, and is now planning to study twards a degree with UNISA.
He has performed at many events and concerts around the province, one of the biggest events being the Mapungubwe Arts Festival.

Lesetja has released a single called Dlala Daai Ding in 2017, Lenyalo la Doobsie(wedding song) and Thunya Lerole in 2018, and they were all are produced by The Genesis (The Last Pharaoh) at SSG Recording Studio in Seshego.

“I have released many singles to date, songs like Tjovi-Tjovo, Buy’ekhaya P.S, Fihla Ngiyakgala, Danyani Tradition and I’m currently putting together an EP compilation,” he said.

His single Sdudla will soon be available for download.
