Makhulu 5 is back, are you in?
The Makhulu 5 Mountain Bike Race is proudly presented by Polokwane Pedallers Cycling Club and invites all cyclists to join in the fun next month
POLOKWANE – Mall of the North is the place to be on 16 February. Roughly translated Makhulu means ‘bigger’ and what is bigger than the annual Makhulu 5 Mountain Bike Race!
The race, that will take place for the fourth time, offers mountain bike enthusiasts an enjoyable experience.
The Makhulu 5 Mountain Bike Race is proudly presented by Polokwane Pedallers Cycling Club and invites all cyclists to join in the fun at Mall of the North’s overflow parking area.
There are three categories:
• Marathon: 65 km, starts at 07:30 and cost R220 per entry.
• Half marathon: 35 km, starts at 07:45 and cost R180 per entry.
• Fun ride: 15 km, starts at 08:00 and cost R60 per entry.
Children can take part in the kiddies ride at 11:00. This is only 300 m and entry is free.
Day licence is R35 per person.
You can enter online at www.mallofthenorth.co.za, online entries close on 13 February. The first 200 paid entries will receive a goodie bag.
Late entries can enter on Friday, 15 February from 17:30 to 19:00 outside Trappers at Mall of the North, as well as 06:00 to 07:00 at the overflow parking at the mall on the day.
CSA rules apply:
• No helmet, no ride.
• No chip, no result.
Food and beverages will be sold and there will be lucky draws. For the lucky draws, winners must be present to receive their prizes.
