‘Deputy director Marks Rambau was a humble and unselfish man’ – MEC of Limpopo Transport

Makoma Makhurupetje, the MEC for Transport and Community Safety has offered her condolences to the family following the recent brutal murder of departmental official Marks Rambau

LIMPOPO – Rambau was reported missing four days ago until it was established that the partially burned body recently discovered by the police near the Peter Mokaba Sports Complex in Polokwane was his.

Rambau who was a Deputy Director of Service Delivery Improvement in the Department of Transport, has been described as a committed government employee.

“It is with great sadness that Marks had to be killed in this brutal manner. I have always known Marks Rambau as a committed government employee who was humble and unselfish. Throughout his lifespan in the department, he volunteered his energies and strength to the well-being of Limpopo’s people. His footprint in the department of Transport will remain forever” said MEC Makhurupetje.

The ANC in Limpopo has also offered their condolences to the family of the deceased. “Cde Marks Rambau was attached to the Provincial Headquarters as Training Administrator. He was a dedicated and reliable resource within a pool of ANC activists in the Province, and at the time of his untimely death, he was intensely involved as part of the ANC’s elections machinery,” said the Provincial Secreatry of the ANC, Soviet Lekganyane.

MEC Makurupetje has since committed the department to offer all necessary support needed by the family until the day of the burial and beyond.

“In order for truth and justice to prevail in this matter, the Provincial Commissioner and I have promised to pull out all stops until perpetrators of this callous deed are finally found and justly prosecuted.”

MEC Makurupetje has call on anyone with evidence to come forward and volunteer information to the police so that those responsible for Marks’s death are finally brought to justice.

Details regarding his  funeral arrangements have not yet been made known,
