R50 000 reward offered after body of Lim Transport deputy director found dumped in Polokwane

The partially burnt body of the deceased was discovered next to Peter Mokaba Sports Complex on Tuesday evening

POLOKWANE – The police are offering a reward of up to R50 000 for any information that can lead to the arrest and subsequent conviction of the suspects responsible for the murder of the victim whose body was found dumped next to stadium.

The police were summoned to the scene after a security officer, who was on duty at the offices next to the Municipality Park’s Depo, allegedly saw a couple dump the body and then set it alight. The couple appeared to be driving a blue VW polo.

The deceased has since been identified as Marks Rambau (48), a Deputy Director in the Limpopo Department of Transport. He is from ha-Masia in the Vhembe District and was staying at Ivy Park in Polokwane, said Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo, Spokesperson for the police.

The motive for the killing is unknown at this stage and the police urge anyone with information that can lead to the arrest of the suspects responsible, to contact Captain Sekhwela at 0727178344 or Captain Ntini at 0731490140. Alternatively they can contact the toll free number on 086001011.
