[TAKE NOTE] LAHF and RPO to host Foot and Mouth information day in Limpopo

The aim of the event is to comprehensively inform all concerned parties about the planned management procedures and responsibilities of each role player on the road to recover the country’s export status.

LIMPOPO – A foot and mouth disease (FMD) information day for farmers and stakeholders will be held on Wednesday 23 January at Adam’s Apple Hotel and Conference Centre near Louis Trichardt.
The aim of the event is to comprehensively inform all concerned parties about the planned management procedures and responsibilities of each role player on the road to recover the country’s export status. A panel of experts will answer all questions regarding FMD.
Registration for the event will start at 08:00 and it is free. One of the key speakers, Dr Pieter Vervoort from the National Animal Health Forum will address attendees from the national perspective and he will also talk about signs and symptoms of FMD. Dr Chris Mabaso, Head of the current Joint Operations Group will inform the farming community about practical steps to recovery.

The event will close at around 13:30 with a light lunch.
