Three men accused of thievery brutally killed in mob attack outside Mutale

Provincial Commissioner of Police, Lieutenant General Nneke Ledwaba has urged the local police to bring he killers to book

LIMPOPO – The Mutale Police, under Thohoyandou Cluster, on Tuesday evening launched a search operation for suspects responsible for the triple murder.

This after the men were attacked and brutally killed during a mob attack which happened in Tshandama village at around 19:30 last night, said Spokesperson for the police, Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo.

“The deceased were allegedly accused of being responsible for a number of theft cases that were committed in the area and were hunted down and brutally assaulted. All three succumbed to their injuries,” he explained.

The deceased were identified as Meshack Munyai (24), Azwindini Mudau (30); both from Tshakhuma and an unknown Zimbabwean male.

A case of three counts of murder has been opened for investigation and anyone with information is requested to contact the nearest police or call the toll free number 0860010111.

The Provincial Commissioner of Police, Lieutenant General Nneke Ledwaba has since strongly condemned the actions of the said group for taking the law into their own hands. He urged the local police to hunt down the killers and bring them to book.
