POLOKWANE – Jabez Christian Academy hosted an athletics day on Tuesday, 8 January a few days after kicking off the new school year. The day was held to boost the energy levels all round and Review spoke to some of the learners to find out why they think it is important to start the year with athletics.’
Kgothatso Mabusa – “I love sports during the first week of school because after relaxing at home over the holidays we are to lazy to start working and learning, We need sports to wake us up a bit.”
Poikanyo Setati – “I love competing in sports in the first week of school because it helps me get ready for class mentally.”
Emmanuel Mgbo – “I love attending and taking part in sports in the first week of school because it helps wake our brains up and also helps us get ready for class after the long holiday we had.”
Prudence Murabe – “After the long holiday we had during the festive, sports are a very good way to start the year and first week of school. Just to shake off the holiday fever.”
Rorisang Coetzee – “Sports during the first week of school are very refreshing because we get fit and ready for school.”
Kanyane Matseba – “I love sports because it helps me connect with my friends and get ready for school.”
