Male motorist arrested for reckless, negligent driving along N1 South outside Polokwane
The 39-year-old driver has been detained at the Westenburg Police Station
POLOKWANE – Local traffic officials, this morning, have arrested a 39-year-old man for reckless and negligent driving.
Spokesperson for the Department of Transport, Matome Moremi-Taueatsoala says the man was caught overtaking vehicles over the barrier line facing oncoming vehicles, causing danger to other motorists.

He was driving a Hyundai SUV and was arrested at around 09:25 this morning along the N1 South near the Sand River.
Moremi-Taueatsoala reminds motorists travelling through Limpopo that the province was declared a zero tolerance zone by MEC for Transport and Community Safety in Limpopo, Makoma Makhurupetje. This includes Polokwane.
