Revive your old toys by turning them into a nifty ornament

Get the whole family together for this DIY art project that will have everyone in awe

POLOKWANE – Keeping the young one’s busy during the holidays can be a bit of a challenge with toys laying around everywhere while kids complain that they have nothing to do. Here is something that you can do to solve all those problems at once.

What you will need:

• A few old toys that don’t get played with often.

• Glue and sticky tape

• Spraypaint.

• A stand of some kind that can be made out of a lid or even crumpled up paper.

Method

• Take some newspaper and crumple it into a ball and wrap the sticky tape around it. (You can also put something heavy like a rock inside the paper to make it heavier depending on what you want to use it for)

• Take the glue and stick the toys to the tape covered ball in the order you like.

• If you do not want to use newspaper make use of any old lid or item that you would like to use as a stand.

• Now make use of the spray paint and cover the artwork with colours of your choice.

• Wait till it has dried and use as needed. It works nicely as a decoration in a room or play area or can be used as book stands.
