Muungu Africa pride themselves on being proudly African
Listening to their new single, Show Love, it's easy to hear that they not only practice what they preach, but they are the perfect example of what African artists should be about.
POLOKWANE – Muungu Africa is back in the game with their hottest second album Show Love. The awesome trio are clear when they say: “We are proudly African.”
The band got together in 2012 and their 2014 debut album, with the single Dakalo made headlines in Lusophone Africa, they also performed in Angola and they gained popularity in Portugal, Brazil and Mozambique.

The trio, Bongani Bongo Beat Shabangu, Lynol Siwela, and Sindiswa Shobede, visited the City of Stars to promote their album.
Bongani Bongo Beats is the producer and beatmaker who has worked with some of the music industry’s biggest heavyweights, while Sindiswa is on vocals and Lynol is a vocalist and guitarist. It took Muungo Africa eight months to package this album.
The simple Setswana, isiZulu and English lyrics make it an easy and catchy sing-along celebration of love between two people who can’t get enough of each other.
The album, Show Love, already enjoys high rotation on a few national and community radio stations earning them new fans along the way.
“We decided to dedicated this album to our loyal fans. You will feel the love, from the fist song to the last song,” said Sindiswa.
“When growing up you experience a lot in life, sometimes we write songs about what we have been facing.
“Lazaro it’s about a broken man dumped by his wife and the message there is to love someone for who they are and not what they have. The song is dedicated to those who broke up but still love each other.
Hello is about a woman rejecting a man’s advances at a party and Masijabuleni featuring Zulu Naja preaches love, happiness and unity,” said Lynol.
“Our identity is African. We need people to be proud of who they are as Africans.
Our music also carries good messages and we advocate morals and respect, that’s why we don’t swear, instead we keep it clean, fresh, filled with vibes,” said Bongo Beats.
