Good news! Taxify is now in Polokwane
Services in the city were launched on Wednesday, 3 October
POLOKWANE – The people of Polokwane spoke and Taxify listened. The online service is now available in the city and will take you anywhere you want to go.
Like Uber, Taxify works through a mobile app, allowing customers to reserve and book an available cab driver. Operating in more than 25 countries across the world, Polokwane is the latest addition to its roster and it’s the first service of it’s kind in the city.
Gareth Taylor, manager for Taxify in South Africa, said the service expanded to Polokwane and East London because it considers demand high enough to sustain drivers in the city adding that demand for ride-hailing services is growing across South Africa as public transport is increasingly ‘unreliable’ and the costs of car ownership soar.
“Ride hailing services like Taxify make it possible for more people to enjoy the convenience and safety of getting from one place to another, without the costs of car ownership or the inconvenience of public transport,” he said.
