MOKOPANE – Three suspected drug dealers arrested during a special joint operation in Mokopane will appear before the local magistrates court on charges of possession and dealing in drugs, says the Limpopo Police.
The operation was composed of the Crime Intelligence, the Provincial Organized Crime Unit, Provincial Drug Narcotic Unit and the Provincial Detectives.
During this operation, three men , aged between 28 and 36, were arrested and 73 balls of nyaope (each ball containing 250 sachets) with the estimated street value of R 730 000 seized, said Police spokesperson Col Moatshe Ngoepe.
A Mercedes-Benz used for transporting these drugs was also confiscated.
The arrest of the trio, will go a long way in ridding this province of the scourge of illicit drugs.
