T20 action thrills at the Polokwane Cricket Club

Spectators were kept entertained with top class batting and bowling from teams within the Capricorn district

POLOKWANE – The first and second cricket teams from Seshego Cricket Club faced each other in the Capricorn T20 (two pools) match on Sunday, 16 September at the Polokwane Cricket Club.

Spectators were kept entertained with top class batting and bowling. Seshego’s first team won the toss and decided to bat first, they won the match against the second team with three wickets.

Later the afternoon, the winning team from Pool A (Seshego’s first team) played against team Al Fata (winning team from Pool B). Team Al Fata scored 153/8 runs, the team from Seshego chased down the runs with ease, scoring 154/4 runs.

Field B saw Nashua Aces up against the Polokwane based Stars Cricket Club in their final match of the T20 series.

Nashua Aces won the toss and decided to send the Stars in to bat first.

Aces displayed an outstanding bowling attack, not letting the batsman settle into any sort of rhythm by, constantly ensuring the fall of wickets.

Stars refused to go down quietly and played some sterling cricket. Nashua Aces however sent the team from Stars back to the change rooms for 83 runs after just 18.1 overs.
