Energy FM’s DJ Morgy on the Bonus decks
Morgan DJ Morgy Tloubtla is the host of the Subtle Invasion show between 11:30 and 12:00 Fridays on Energy FM. This week we get to know him a bit better.

• When did you start DJing? Lerato Sekgobela, Mankweng.
“I started DJing in 2007, as Vinyl Dj up to this date. I Iove DJing, its a career and a hobby.”
• Have you always wanted to be a DJ and if not, what would you have been doing now? Mosima Kgatle, Nobody.
“DJing has always been my calling from my childhood days. I used to collect music cassettes at an early age. My first gig was at a school function. If I was not a DJ, probably I would have been a music compiler for a radio station.”
• Apart from being a DJ, what do you do for fun and relaxation? Delight Masekwameng, Mentz.
“Apart from DJing, I love soccer and cooking. I sometimes love travelling with friends just to go and taste new food from other provinces.”
• How old are you and do you have a partner? Thato Mahloko, Seshego Zone 2.
“I’m 30 something, I have someone special in my life and I am fully committed.”
• Do you ever get tired since DJ’s schedules are always packed? How do you do all of that and still manage to live? Robert, Polokwane CBD.
“Yes, being a DJ is exhausting, but sometimes having a passion for it makes it easy for me. And yes I do have time to relax and spend with loved ones.”
• What do you look for in a potential partner if you’re not taken? Portia Ledwaba, University of Limpopo.
“As long as you can be yourself and have goals and morals, then we are good to go. But as I said, I am in a committed relationship.”
• What music do you enjoy mixing? Thabiso Mathabatha, Luthuli.
“I am a deep house and soulful house DJ, but I do listen to other genres of music from artists like Erykah Badu, Sjava and Paul K.”
• Who do you look up to or draw your inspiration from in the DJ industry? Thapelo Ledwaba, Flora Park.
“The people who inspire me in the DJ industry are DJ Miggs, Vinny Da Vincy and DJ Dargue.”
