Ivy Park learners celebrate their South African roots

The learners from Ivy Park Primary School recently held their annual school concert where each grade performed a locally inspired song, poem or drama piece.

POLOKWANE – The concert was themed “Proudly South African” and each standard got to perform locally produced songs by local artists as well as drama plays in all 11 official languages.

“The aim of this concert was to demonstrate what they children have learnt about the demographics of the country and the different cultures. “Embracing other cultures other than their own will foster unity and ubuntu among the people of this country,” explained Minette Espach, one of the organisers of the event.
