Donate a Santa Cause for Paws box and spoil animals this Christmas
Apart from children that getting gifts during this time, there are animals that are in need of gifts this Christmas too.
POLOWKANE – As the year draws to a close and everyone starts planning year end functions (yes, only four more months to Christmas), children begin composing their Christmas lists. Be it a bike or the newest Barbie doll, a playstation or a smartphone, Santa is getting requests as we speak.

Apart from children that getting gifts during this time, there are animals that are in need of gifts this Christmas too.
In less than a month, pledging for Santa Cause for Paws will open and readers can pledge to give a box to all animals in need.
Each pack must contain five items, including:
• An edible treat
• A toy
• A blanket.
• A bowl or collar
• Something for the personnel looking after the animals, like non-perishable food, clothes, toiletries.
Santa Cause for Paws collects gifts for shelter animals, township animals, outreach organisations and ferals and pledging opens 15 September on their website.
You can also make a donation of R25 on their website and they will use the money to get personnel the same items. Last year they managed to get many mugs for all the workers, as well as tea and biscuits in bulk.
Chantelle-Louise Watson, receptionist at the Molly Hawkens Animal Clinic informed Review that there is a competition where you can win R10 000 for your charity’s vet bill. Votes will be capped at 100 votes (R5 000) if received by the end of this month.
“People have to vote for us to become a beneficiary. A R50 donation is all it takes to cast a vote for your favourite charity to win R10 000. The money will be paid directly to the winning animal charities vet bill, and the R50 donations will also go to animal welfare of course.
