Load reduction likely to carry on into the weekend, says Muni

This is due to work on the Epsilom substation after it lost a second transformer.

POLOKWANE – According to the Polokwane Municipality, work to replace and repair transformers at the Epsilom substation is expected to continue into the weekend and as such is the load reduction programme.

On Tuesday, 21 August, the Municipality said repairs to the substation would take two days. Repairs are now on its fourth day.

As a result, the municipality has to carry out load reduction in parts of the CBD, moving west of the city.
