Polokwane’s own Jazz sensation nominated for the 2018 LIMA Awards
Jazz sensation, Bubu Nxumalo, has been nominated in three categories for the 2018 Limpopo Music Awards (Lima).
POLOKWANE – Bubu has been nominated in the Best New Comer, Best African Pop Single and Best Jazz Hit categories for her love song “Konke”.
Sibusiso Nxumal0, better known as Bubu, told Review that her songs are written about love and “Konke” was inspired by the relationship she was in at the time. “That was me expressing my love and how he was my everything at the time. Even though I am no longer in that relationship people will get to know more about my love journey in my upcoming album,” said the jazz sensation.

Soweto born Bubu is singer, writer and performer and is currently residing in Polokwane. She discovered her love for music after she joined the church choir at the Potter House Christian Church in 2003 and studied music full time at Ochrim Music School in Pretoria from 2007 to 2009.
Bubu runs a full service events and entertainment company called Spotlight Events.
“The company focuses on artist management, event management/coordination, marketing and branding. It provides a platform for upcoming artists to develop and elevate their talent to greater heights as well offering them a platform to showcase and market their work,” she said.

Bubu Nxumalo has worked with artists such as Neo Seakamela, Malatji, Charlebass, DJ Loan, Guitarman and her passion for love and music inspired her to compose and release her single Konke.
“I’m honoured to be acknowledged within the music industry with 3 nominations for my first single. It shows that hard work really does go a long way into shaping a persons future, and with this being said I would like to thank everyone who has supported me since I introduced myself. I would not have been here were it not for my fans,” she concluded.
